You need an Admob publisher account in order to enter your own Admob publisher ID on SeattleClouds website. You can get your publisher ID from your account on Admob.

Go to Sites & Apps section. After that, click on Tools link next to your app name. In the app information, you’ll clearly see Publisher ID

How to close out applications completely in new iPhone iOS 4 ?

With the newest version of iPhone firmware, you will be able to multitask. Apple has given us the ability to access more than one program at once. By closing an app the way you would on a 3G phone (clicking the home button), you will no longer fully quit an app. This is similar to the way things work on a Mac OS – clicking the “X”

In iOS4, when you want to close an app (which was previously achieved by pressing the home button once) you have to:

Press home button once to get to home screen
Double press the home button to see the app you want to close on the tray
Hold down on an app to enable ‘closing’
Press the ‘Close’ button on the app.

In iTunes, select your device in the ‘Devices’ section and navigate to the Summary tab. Click on the Serial Number label to reveal the Identifier field and the 40 character UDID.

Press Command+C to copy the UDID to your clipboard.

!!! Customers who use search to find applications on the App Store will see results based on your designated keywords. This replaces the former search functionality which used words found in your application’s description.

Once you have entered keywords, your application will only be searchable on the AppStore by your designated keywords, your company name, and your application name.
Your application description is now for marketing purposes only and should be used to describe the functionality and details of your application. We encourage you to submit keywords for all applications as soon as possible so that they will continue to be successfully located on the App Store.

Getting the Most Out of Your Keywords

Entering thoughtful and strategic keywords that pertain to your application will help customers locate your application easier when searching on the App Store. Consider keywords that are specific to the functionality of your application or that describe its unique characteristics.

If you choose unique keywords, your app could have a better chance of being found versus other apps when customers use that keyword in the App Store search field. Assigning extremely common keywords could lessen your chance of being located quickly.

Examples of keyword considerations for the game application “Touch Fighter”

• Overly common keywords make it harder to locate your app: Game, App, Fun
• Unique keywords allow your app to stand out: Flight, Galaxy, Starship

The power of Push Notifications

Push Notification allows an application to listen for messages being ‘pushed’ to it from the server. Through Push Notification, your application can communicate with your users even when the app is closed.

When can I use a Push Notification?

Any event that can generate a notification can also generate a push notification. You can have notifications sent to your app users when you want to announce an update, report news, invite to read a new post, ask for a review, any info related to your iPhone app your users will find valuable.

To enable push notifications in your app:

This info is for app owners that have their own account or are planning to submit the app under their own dev accounts.

1. Go to Push Notifications screen.

2. Follow instructions to Create an APN Certificate and upload it.

3. If you have created already a .MOBILEPROVISION file, create a new one (only follow steps 9 .. 15 from http://seattleclouds.com/provhelp.aspx)

4. If your application is already in AppStore, click Build Binaries and replace existing .MOBILEPROVISION with the new one. When binaries are ready, update them on itunesconnect.apple.com

5. When new binaries are approved, just go to Push Notifications screen, type your push message and hit Push button.

What happens after you Submit your application?

Apple’s Review Team works very closely with us and requires from SeattleClouds team to Test and Review each application before we submit it to App Store.

Once you click on the Submit button:

1. SeattleClouds team reviews your application and makes sure it complies with Apple’s requirements ( see What applications get approved by Apple?)

2. SeattleClouds team is testing your application on iPod and iPhone (internal links, external links, audio, video etc)

3. We submit your application to Apple and stay in touch with Apple’s Review Team in case they have any concerns, suggestion or changes.

4. Your iPhone application is in the AppStore
